WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will join our new Global Services Center in Phoenix/Tempe as part of Visual Graphics & Media’s Creative Direction team. You will be a member of a global team that spans the US, Costa Rica, Europe and India.
You will begin to build and nurture a strong network with other media and communications professionals within the company and externally, to ensure robust partnerships and to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in design & visual communication and media technology.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will co-lead a multidisciplinary design unit, develop design strategies, solve complex problems and tailor compelling visual communications experiences for our clients. You will provide guidance and project oversight to a team of media designers that specialize in video & animation, illustration, UI and bespoke presentation design. You will efficiently lead multiple design projects, simultaneously. Through thoughtful execution, you will guarantee successful project outcomes and deliver quality end products.
In the day-to-day, you will maintain accurate and timely communications regarding project status, including budget, timelines and lead times for each design project. You will understand and empathize with internal customer teams’ communication needs and effectively co-create solutions on the best media solution for challenging communication situations.
You will help drive process improvements in your related domain, helping to scale up new services as a major contribution to new ways of collaborating with internal teams and clients. In addition, you may be exposed to, or asked to lead and project-manage, internal strategic projects and initiatives within your regional or the global department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Updated portfolio focused on graphic design work in a single PDF file or web based portfolio (i.e. Behance, Dribble, etc.) showcasing primarily samples of branding, slides/decks, layouts, booklets, posters, banners, logos, illustrations or similar

University degree in a design-related field (e.g., graphic design, corporate design, visual communication design, motion design, film and animation); Master’s degree preferred

2+ years of experience as a senior graphic designer or related role; senior-level experience as designer/art director in a design agency/corporate communications setting; leading design/communications-related projects

2+ years of experience leading projects or people; demonstrated proficiency in specialized area of creative expertise, strong trajectory of building and expanding that base

Solid knowledge in design and communications strategies and approaches; excellent and effective communication skills; strong customer service-orientation with superb client relationship skills

Advanced knowledge of Adobe CC/CS and PowerPoint. Competent in other common MS Office programs. A defined area of specialized creative expertise or software knowledge related to specific area of visual communication/media design (e.g., hand-drawn illustration skills, video & animation expertise)

Experience in the area of UI/UX and working with web content management systems such as Drupal are an advantage

Mastery of stakeholder management; incredibly organized and adaptable to a fast-paced project environment; excellent ability to manage multiple complex projects globally, over varying timelines

Excited to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; willingness for occasional travel

Ability to maintain a distinct level of confidentiality
