AIGA AZ wins ADDY Award

AIGA Arizona won a Bronze ADDY’s award for its integrated campaign and branded content work on Phoenix Design Week and the Method + Madness conference.
2015 marked the seventh annual Phoenix Design Week, and the second time AIGA AZ has earned an ADDY – the first time was in 2014. The weeklong celebration brings together Arizona’s design community with a variety of exhibitions, open houses, and hands-on workshops. The Method + Madness conference kicks off Phoenix Design Week with nationally recognized speakers alongside local design legends.
The theme for the 2015 Method + Madness conference paid homage to Arizona’s American Indian heritage. The Phoenix Design Week team sought to incorporate simple layout and typography, while also showcasing printing and binding craftsmanship – visit For Print Only to see the Method + Madness conference program. The campaign used web, print, email, social media, video, and physical elements to reach design enthusiasts across the state and create an unforgettable experience for attendees.
More than 450 people attended the M + M conference and hundreds more attended the week of events that followed the conference. The 2015 turnout was the highest since the event began – Phoenix Design Week was founded in 2009 by Lost Creature and is organized by AIGA Arizona.
AIGA Arizona is an all-volunteer chapter of AIGA, the oldest and largest professional association for design with more than 70 chapters nationwide. Since its inception 27 years ago, the Arizona chapter has grown to more than 500 members.
The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local Ad Club competitions. The mission of the ADDY Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
