Our Mission
AIGA Arizona
Established a super long time ago. Specifically, 1989. We know a thing or two about the creative community. We strive to be here for you no matter where you are in your journey. Because to us, it’s not about where you came from. Or what awards you’ve won. It’s about using creativity to make a difference exactly where you are.
Our programming includes our premier annual event, Phoenix Design Week, which kicks off (or sometimes ends with) a two-day conference. We also have ongoing monthly events and exhibitions throughout the year such as software training, student and professional portfolio reviews, networking mixers, hands-on workshops, and speaker opportunities with local and national experts.
We nurture creative curiosity and use programming, resources, and mentorship to empower the voices in our community to create a lasting impact.
Our chapter is a group of passionate volunteers building programming to help improve design ability. We connect with complementary disciplines of creativity and expression. We prioritize social impact. And we promote community excellence. We do this by providing resources and access to all creative professionals within our state and making sure that underrepresented communities have a seat at our table.
How do we do this?
Nurture Curiosity
Through programming and collaboration, we provide a place for creatives to learn, grow, and hone their craft.
Provide Mentorship
We help members of the creative community navigate their careers at any stage, because we’ve been there too.
Be a Resource
We provide access to the larger creative community and use our tools and connections to advance design.

Whether you moved here, were born here, or are just passing through, we provide a safe space to refine your creative identity. We build bridges between disciplines, backgrounds, and experience. And we strive to involve and uplift those who are underrepresented in our state.

We believe that through design, we have the opportunity to further engage and elevate our surrounding communities.

Our chapter is part of a national organization: AIGA, the professional association of design. AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. From content that defines the global practice to events that connect and catalyze, AIGA works to enhance the value and deepen the impact of design across all disciplines on business, society, and our collective future.
