Let’s learn some more about Amy and her business in her interview below.
Hi Amy, how did Tiny Fox Creative come to be?
I started Tiny Fox as a creative outlet when I was working as an in-house graphic designer with the Arizona Cardinals. I had become so immersed in the one brand that I wanted a chance to color in my own lines a little bit. I mixed the love for my community and my passion for design together and ta-daa – Tiny Fox Creative was born.
What is your ideal client for Tiny Fox Creative?
We really are looking for small businesses or non-profits that are just launching or that are in need of a curiously cunning brand. Our best clients are open to creative avenues and want to learn how good branding and design can help their business. We don’t base our designs off trends, but timeless looks that maintain your brand for the long run. Ideal clients are full of integrity and want a partner who is the same.
“I feel the happiest when I see that clients can use the knowledge that we have acquired together to not only maintain the brand we’ve built together but have a better understanding of the importance of graphic design in the small business world around them.”

Tell us about struggles that you have had along the way.
The most challenging part of owning my own small business would be time management aspect. In addition to my side hustle, I also work full-time as a designer and am a mom. So, I am constantly trying to keep the balance of both gigs, work out, text people back, read books and nap…. especially nap. The challenge comes in wanting to do “all of the things” and none of the things at the same time…balance.
What have you found most rewarding about owning your own business?
The most rewarding thing for me is to see clients who love their brands and are no longer afraid to venture into the small business world with confidence. I feel the happiest when I see that clients can use the knowledge that we have acquired together to not only maintain the brand we’ve built, but have a better understanding of the importance of graphic design in the small business world around them.
What is something that you are passionate about in the community?
I think I’m most passionate about getting small businesses to understand the value of good graphic design by educating them through the process. So many people launch their business with such vigor and end up leaving the design and marketing last. When they do get around to it, the result is done fast (and sometimes cheap) and without their brand, mission or WHY in place. It doesn’t have to be like this for them or any other small business owner trying to make their small dream into a big reality. If I can educate about how important good graphic design is, and how it can literally be life changing – I’ve served the small business underdog in my community. They deserve for their dreams to be a reality.
What has been your favorite project that you have worked on?
I’ve had so many amazing and fun projects, it’s hard to choose. My favorite project that I’ve worked on most recently would be a set of foil prints I’ve done for a “Normalizing Breastfeeding” event by the fabulous Alicia Samone Photography. I designed 100 copper and gold foil prints for these amazing breastfeeding moms. It was such an honor to make a print for such an empowering event.
Thanks Amy, it was great learning about your business.
