For 24 straight hours, 70 designers, developers, photographers and copywriters joined creative forces to help seven local nonprofits. The nonprofits selected to receive the pro bono work included the Arizona Community Dental Clinic, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, Camp Swift Youth Foundation, MOMA’S House, Oh My Ears, RENEW and Support Our Schools AZ. A team of creatives was matched with each nonprofit and from 10 am on Saturday until 10 am on Sunday, the teams completely immersed themselves in the nonprofits’ missions. They worked tirelessly to solve issues around branding, marketing, strategy, recruiting and fundraising.

The morning kicked off with all the teams meeting with their nonprofit representative to go over the project. This was followed by intense brainstorming sessions that included lots of mind mapping, Post-it notes, Sharpies and more. The teams wasted no time. Branding and website projects that would typically take months were coming together in a few short hours. It is inspiring that in one weekend, a large group of dedicated volunteers can make such a big impact. This is just the start of the Arizona design community using their skills to help good causes create a better world. What could you do in 24 hours?
