Legal & Legit: Intellectual Property Issues for Creative Professionals
Our creative work has value. But with that value comes responsibility. Designers, photographers, writers, illustrators, and creative professionals of all stripes need to understand the legal framework in which we work, to protect our efforts and help our clients thrive.
Join AIGA Arizona and Intellectual Property specialist Tony Marino for a focused look at IP as it relates to modern creative work. Learn the distinctions between copyrights, patents, trade secrets, and trademarks, and discuss examples and scenarios that affect us and our clients.
Attendees will come away with new clarity on the legal terminology of creative work, as well as new best practices for working with creative teams, clients, and attorneys.
Light bites and beverages will be provided.
